SEI Cares Summer Picnic

Jonathans_Place_Picnic-2015-01Final

Each June, despite the heat and humidity, all of Southern Enterprises’ employees gather at Wagon Wheel Park in Coppell, TX for burgers, sno-cones, and games.  During this annual picnic, the SEI Cares committee hosts a group of children and staff members from Jonathan’s Place.  We are so happy to be able to provide a much-needed day of fun for this very deserving group!  It’s hard to tell which activity was the overall favorite, but water balloons are always a huge hit with the kiddos, and with the high temps we get here in North Texas, the adults don’t seem to mind them so much either!

The mission of Jonathan’s Place is to provide a safe, loving home to children in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex who have been abused, abandoned or neglected.  They also have programs for foster care and adoption, and work with the Safe Place national youth outreach program.  For more information on this wonderful organization, please visit jpkids.org.

Thank you to all of the committee members and SEI employees that made this event happen!
