Dallas, Texas – Home furnishings and décor supplier SEI, has launched a corporate giving program, SEI Cares and committed to raise $50,000.
One of the guiding principles at SEI focuses on awareness and respect of community, which means contributing to the enhancement of our communities through activities such as volunteerism and charitable giving. SEI has always encouraged the spirit of giving and this year marks a pointed and dedicated effort to create a unified giving strategy. SEI Cares selected three organizations for 2014, most notably, Be the Difference Foundation, who’s mission is finding a cure for ovarian cancer.
Throughout the year, SEI will be participating in and hosting events to raise $50,000 for this foundation. The first of those events will take place this February called Wheel to Survive, a six-hour indoor cycling event.
Be The Difference is taking significant steps against ovarian cancer by making it their mission to improve the speed of detection and quality of treatment. Every year, 15,000 women, mothers, daughters, sisters, and wives will lose the battle against ovarian cancer. “This organization is very near and dear to my heart because my first cousin, Helen Gardener, is battling this terrible disease. Her journey inspired the Be the Difference Foundation, and in turn has motivated me to do more.” said Mike Horowitz, President.
